John Murray, born in Boston in 1942, has lived in Los
Angeles, Provincetown and Boston. For more than 40 years he has explored his
bleak/sensual aesthetic through paints and mediums of all descriptions, as well
as printmaking and assemblages. He studied at the School of the Museum of Fine
Art, Boston, and exhibits widely throughout the North East. jmurrayart.com

Supercharged Painting

June 16 – 20 | Mon. – Fri. | 9am – 4pm
This course begins with the notion that Jackson Pollock liberated painting and takes off from there. Students will investigate various painting media including acrylic, glazes, pigments, and collage. Both figurative and abstract approaches are encouraged in this energetic class with an emphasis on Post Modern plasticity and visual language.
